    Default 04 colorado

I bought a 04 Colorado with a standard 5 speed and a 4 cyl vortec engine. The tow rating seems low, I think it said something like 2500 lbs. Can I tow my jet boat with it? 18ft 455 olds do not know the exact weight.

Question is, can you stop it?

Thats the biggest deciding factor in ratings.

You should be able to tow it....we tow our 17ft poty flat bottom with a 427 in it just fine.

The towing capacity of the I5 is greater, not sure why the 4 banger is rated so much lower. I plan to try it anyways.

You still shouldn't have a problem with it just know your limits and use greater distances.
