Just wait for the time when you can get a Dmax. You'll be much happier and spend way less in fuel.

I think this is going to be my uncles 'last truck', he really wants to do a super/ turbo charger on it...I just can't believe that seems to be the ONLY offering

He called to order it...the guy called him back and said the supplier raised his price 3k with out notice.

Yeah. Another popular one. Just as good as the other. Be advised - pretty much anyone who has artificially aspirated an 8.1 has lost a piston - or three. The top ring land is very close to the top of the piston. Doesn't leave much room for error. Just not enough support at the top of the piston to carry that type of explosion.

The pickup in the video that I posted there for you blew his up shortly after. Just not a good candidate for other than normally-aspirated.

Yep, see it all the time ...aftermarket superchargers inevitably destroy the engine ...

I highly recomend Whipple. I ran one on my 03 6.0L 2500HD and loved it....talked a friend into running on on his 02 6.0L 2500HD. I never had a problem and their customer service was great as I changed the truck and they helped me dial it in.

I've hear mixed results about Kenne Belle, seems some guys had motor issues due to lean conditions....who knows.

    Good luck,
