    Default NOW I got a Tow Rig!

    Just picked this up



    1979 Chevy Crew Cab Dually Longbed 2WD
    454/th400 with 4.11 gears.

    I plan to ad tow bags, and make the hitch adjustable, and a kickin stereo!

    Long low and mean is how I Like em!

    Always liked the old skool trucks, just don't like the gas milage that goes with them.

    I was looking at that one on craigslist..I dont know about extra tank but a gear vendors overdrive unit for sure!! I just picked up a 89 crew cab dually but like the olde body style better..

    Great ride.You could buy premium in for .70 gal. in 1979,even in Needles.

    had an 86 crew cab for a while. it had 2 20gal fuel tanks and when i towed from orange county to fresno (pulling the 76 sanger mini) it used all 40 just to get one way....going back without the boat was the exact same way. sucker just pounds the fuel! back then it cost me $250 just to make that round trip. i still love those things though. always planned on putting a 6.0l and a 4l80E into it like my old 02 HD 2500 had, but didn't have a place to keep it anymore so i sold it.
