Looking for a new truck

Okay, so I currently have an 06 Nissan Titan LE 4x4 short bed with 80k. It's got a 6" Pro Comp lift, 35's Toyo MT's, Banks exhaust, Spectra CAI, trailer brakes, and trailer bags.
So I've been kind of thinking about getting a new truck, not sure what been looking at a few different options. Kind of thinking I want to go new, but the problem with that is I can't afford much more than $25k.
So I know this is going to be a big opinions posts, but that's kind of what I'm looking for.
So options I want are: crew cab, 4x4, good power (but I currently only have a 77 20.5' Southwind) I'd like better than 9 MPG (I know screen name vs what I just said, but it's kind of hurting the pocket book) I don't need the lift but it is nice.
I'm open to pretty much every option from mini truck to full size to heavy duty to diesels. Just don't want it too big or long it will be a DD plus tow vehicle.

R&B in Fontana has some good deals I got a 05 gmc crew cab with the 5.3L fully loaded with 45k on it I got it for 15k and I get 14 and change pulling a 18 ft advantage and a electric golf cart in the bed

in my opinion buy yourself a 2004-05 chevy diesel. those can be had under 25k and will run forever and get some good mileage and pull the house down.

Yeah, several people I've talked to mentioned the 04-05 chevy diesels... But from what I understood, the 6.0l chevy motors of those years had a bunch of issues.
I've been trying to drive a few different trucks lately, my dad has an f250 6.0 and 7.3, not a big fan of either of them. Maybe it's just because I'm used to my truck (gas) but they both felt super sluggish. And I'm trying to get my buddy to switch me his 07 duramax for a week, but he's being a baby about it.

the 6.0l chevy is a gas motor, the diesel is a 6.6. i have had both trucks in my lifetime and the 6.0l gas engine is a dog over the diesel. the 6.6 is bulletproof. the 6.0l ford is a piece of shit, the 7.3 is a little sluggish. if your buddy lets you borrow is o7 duramax your gonna be hooked i guarantee it.

Funny, I opened this thread thinking about slinging my Titan for sale at ya, lol. I am also in the market for something more "fuel friendly" and something that can tow the new toy without issue. I have been seriously looking into the 2008-2009 GMC Sierra 2500HD and the Chevy Silverado 2500HD with the 6.6 Duramax. Down here in Texas, there are quite a few that fit the bill for less than 30k asking price. You may be able to find something you like and talk the guys down. I am in sitting in Iraq right now and waiting till I get home to make the trade (I am stripping all my goodies off my truck and selling since most people wont give credit for aftermarket). I have watched the prices of a few that I like and they just keep getting lower and lower (not by the thousands, but at least the hundreds) and you know if they are lowering prices, they are more likely to haggle as well. I just bought my first new gas truck. 2011 Chevy z71 4x4. After being in a diesel for a long time. I miss the power of the diesel.but the ride quality of new truck is great. I'm not a duramax fan but everyone I know has goodluck with them. I always bought cummins.

Ahhh, okay that most of been where I missed it. That makes since. And yeah that what everyone has been telling me a few of my buddy's just made the switch too a duramax an they love it. All first diesel too.
Yeah, maybe it's before I've only been in the 7.3's but I'm not sold on a diesel. However I think I might enjoy if they were to ever make a smaller diesel. I don't know, though. I'm always looking and yeah I hear ya and the prices falling, my dads trying to sell his 6.0 right now. Been for sale for like 8 months...

i have been a chevy duramax guy forever, just bought the 6.7L new ford diesel and its a beast, i love it as of now!
