    Default Fender adjustment

I Made a couple adjustments to the fender hight.
I think this look's much better,Maybe still a litle high,
but I have 14" rims and tires on now , But debating wether
    or not to use 15".
Ultimatly I need to sit the boat back on the trailer and then make the final hight adjustments....H

Malcolm, Yes they are 5 leaf springs. I kinda thought the same thing ,but I asked a couple of trailer places and they said 5 would be fine and that is also all they offerd.
I also looked at alot of trailers that have 18'and 19' jets on them and most of them have 4 and 5 leafs. If it is a problem and is too stiff of a ride, I can allways remove a couple of leaf's.
The single axle had 6 leaf's ...Hal
Hal, I was up under my trailer the past couple days, seeing how I was going to fix it, and I took a look at my leaf springs. My Miller trailer has 3 leafs per axle, per side. And there is very little vertical movement when I take the boat off the trailer and when I put it back on.

Keep up the great work Hal!!!

just set the fender so that when the axle is at its highest point the tire just touches the fender,
it its too stiff you can always remove a leaf or two from the pack.

Hal, You might want to think about where you launch your boat is it flat or a steep incline? Smaller tire and wheel combos seem to work better on flat progressive ramps gets the boat in the water sooner than larger wheel and tire combos! My .02 All of your build looks great keep on the good progress!! WT

    Hal,

I use 15" rims when I have a choice because the tires are cheaper and more readily availale. Just a thought. The trailer looks awesome. Great work. I usually paint mine in the grass so the painted stuf gets cut in about a week. Last time I did it with my shoes off too andhad black feet bottoms for quite some time.
