Wow John, that is one nice bullet you have yourself! I just read this thread and damn did you do it right! I am happy for ya bud!

I would reccomend slightly under driving it some at first, once your ok with that and the engine is happy make sure the fuel is there and start turning it up!

Well, after massive fuel issues, a fire that melted part of my carpet and a problematic gasket issue with the blower.......I finally sorted it all out and it actually runs!!!

Thanks again Barry for building such an awesome motor for me and being such a class act.

Here's a quick video running. The idle surges from 1000 to about 1900 rpm. Starts with the touch of a key. Needless to say I'm stoked and am going to spend some time cleaning and polishing everything since all of it got trashed when I was fighting it.

    Thanks again Barry... John

    Thumbs up

    Thanks Barry.
Folks, if you're looking for someone to do some motor work for you that you can trust, I could not recommend Barry more highly.
He spent a lot of time on the phone (1400 miles away) discussing my style of boating and working with me to find a cost effective way of building something I was going to be happy with.
Let me tell you, he hit a home run on both counts!!!!

He provided me an outstanding product while working with my limited budget.
His level of communication is exceptional and his efforts to keep costs under control are exemplary.

Barry, you are a true gentleman and your efforts are very much appreciated.
    Thank you very much......john

So Barry, Since, John speaks so Highly of you, and you have turned him to a truei show and go, boater. I am in the process of inquiring, if you have any thing else laying around you would like to discuss building up. Please let me know what particulars you would like to know. And of course it has to be a BBC. Thanks, Brian.

1st question,, do you want something bigger and faster than John's?

I will PM my phone number so we can talk. I know John was over at Blacklake today helping my friend Louis dry out after a swim.

Hah! Of course he does Barry. Besides, he's a V-driver so you guys can talk all that gear ratio and prop stuff.

Yah, Louis scared the crap out of me with that swim. GPS still said 94.9 on that run. That motor runs goood!
