I learn as I go so there wont be many instructions but plenty of pictures. Enjoy.
Here was the boat at the beginning of last season. Brand new.

countless hours of buffing and waxing with a good tune up it took me through last summer with a trip about every other weekend.
End of the season, time to start what would turn into a complete rebuild, boat, pump and motor.
finished removing the last of the floor today. The stringers appear to be in good shape, but I found some water under some of the foam.![]()
Nice stuff!
Where was the foam? Floatation? Sometimes when a mfg foams a space there's a bit of air left in it and it will go through the condensation thing and puddle. Or an owner in the past shot a screw a bit too far and put a pinhole in the hull. and don't ask me how I know this. Lifting the ass of a 21 Eliminator twin step cruiser on the beach at Powell to find the damn leak gets old .

keep up the good work, You are right that intake has seen
better days
Cot out the seat boxes today. Damn they used alot of epoxy to glue em down. Took me half a day to grind out.![]()
Phew! Man does that look familiar! Looks great though, that thing is going to make you happy later than sooner. I say that having been in the same situation...

I would reply but Im itchin like a mutherf**ker. I have a good work schedule so I hope to make good progress but I have a feelin your right.![]()
Here's the deal with the fiberglass- in the shower, take a cold one first. That will close the posre and keep any of the 'glass from getting lodged in the skin. Soap at will, rinse with cold then hit the hot water. Presto.

Here is the real deal with the Fiber Glass....Before you do any work cover any exposed skin with baby powder. You pours will fill with it and you can work with no itch after words. This is coming from a guy how used to make a living climbing through attics.![]()
What happens on the Delta stays on the Delta
![]()
Yeah buddy! Ive spent more than my share of time in the attic but I was never smart enough to come up with that one. Bonus, Ill have that powder fresh feeling all day, Thanks.![]()
Whichever real deal you go with, be careful when you use a baby powder act. For grinding and doing the grunt work, whatever works for you, long tees, wetsuits, baby powder. But for wetting out and laying up wet laminates the powders will usually have lanolin or some moisturizer in them that when you handle fiberglass, as in when you're laminating it, will create a spot that won't allow the resin to saturate the material. You'll step back to admire the bitchin' job you've done and see white spots in the laminate that will never bond to the plywood. And regardless how carefully you vac the boat after a session, there's always some of that shit left. That's why if you choose to wear gloves, make sure they are free of any powder.
