    Default hydraulic steering @ idle

    I have a stock power steering pump and installed a full hydraulic system with twin rams. At idle (700-850 rpm) the wheel sometimes turns like a 1968 chevelle at a stoplight... is there a high volume pump i should have put on?

    Does this have the factory ratio pulleys?

    I would be willing to bet the pump is tired or has a vane problem..

    Sometimes just a fluid change makes all the difference, try using some new Dexron II/Mercon fluid and see if it changes.

    Yes the pullies are stock,I changed all the fluid when i installed the system...your probably right the pump is older (was in my 92 baja)thanks GT...

    Don't you have to drill out an orifice in the pump to increase flow???
