What size pulley? Are you underdriving the blower? I know a 56 will fit for sure, and probably a 54 but haven't tried but it should fit too.

I am going through the same thing. I also have the Bergereon drive shaft adapter. I just picked up two 8mm bottom pulleys a 54 and a 60. The drive adapter fits nicely into either pulley, but I am using a hub on the crank and I must be missing a part (spacer) that goes between the hub and the pulley as they do not fit together. HELP!
    Thanks in advance.

crank adapter/ pulley/ adapter for 1350 drive line about 1 inch thick. . thats now it goes.. You most likely got the wrong adapter. BDS has them

If you are not using a balancer then you need to use the crank hub adapter to go between the crank and the blower pulley. Good vibrations motorsports has them. I am not sure if Bergeron carries that part.

Whoa, back up here. Do you have a 6 bolt crank hub on the snout or not?
Is it the pulley that will not fit the hub?
If the hub was made for a 1/2 sq tooth pulley, they have a larger 2 1/4" pilot register than the 8MM and 13.9/14MM pulley's 2.0" .
You will need to either have the hub pilot turned down, or the pulley pilot opened up, along with any pulleys you may use on that hub, or get the right hub.

If it the bolt pattern of the hub, early blower pulleys and hubs , specially the 2 1/4" register pilot 1/2" sq tooth pulleys used a pattern with one offset bolt. You can fix the pulley by ovaling one bolt hole, but you need will to get a matching adaptor from Bergereon. I don't recommend doing that because that pattern is obsolete.

OK, now is see the problem. The hub was originally used with a 1/2" square tooth pulley. It has a 2 1/4' (approximately) shoulder and the 8 mm pulleys that I now plan to use have a 2' hole. It looks like if I were to turn down the outside diameter it would leave the hub very thing and not too strong. I don't want to open up the new 8mm pulleys because they fit the drive shaft adapter perfectly. It looks like I would be best off to just buy a new hub from Good Vibrations and then I will have the correct part. Does that make sense?

im under driven the pto adapter just dont fit in the pully do they make somthing different,i wouldnt think you change pullys to run an adapter, there is no way the adapter could be any smaller ,then were the pto bolts up there would be no meat around the threads

If you go back a read my post ( I edited it while you were posting) you will see that the bolt pattern on alot of the 2 1/4 register hubs also have a different bolt patter. You are much better off getting a newer hub than trying to mess with the old stuff.

The problem is not the belt size. The problem is the pulley selection. You can't expect to use a BBC crank in a SBC as a cheap stroker. You can't expect a PTO built to handle a 1350 U joint to fit into a small ass pulley just because you "want it to".
You can underdrive your blower and still have a lower pulley large enough for the PTO. You simply need to buy new pulley. You may possibly be able to use the one you had paln to use on top, and move it to the crank and get a new larger pulley for the blower.
Shit DOES just bolt up. If you know to get the right parts. Don't hate the parts just because the engineer screwed the pooch

    Thanks for the info GN7,
Yes, I do have an older hub, although the 6 bolt pattern is the same as the 8mm pulleys that I have. I will buy the correct new hub and then I should be good to go
    Thanks again for the clarification.
