Tech Question..this is the tech section?

So I have this close friend working on a motor...question is this..it is equipped with a gear drive and the drive has a hex in it instead of the standard water pump tang..it is a carburated blown deal that does not need a fuel pump driven..

so the bolt pattern on the timing cover does not match a magnaflow pump..do you try to reinvent the wheel and make an adapter or do they make something that takes it from a 2" spread bolt pattern to the 1.600 bolt pattern of the water pump??

Mike, who's gear drive is it. If its a Milodon or a Muldoon you can buy the hub that replaces his that has the hex and the front cover to change it to a Magnaflow type drive and mount. But it may be cheaper to find a RiverRat pump unless he already has a Magnaflow in hand.

Heres what I'm using on the motor we're putting in Tims boat. I'm using a river rat waterpump...

Hey GN7...I normally kind of like you and actually I admit it in public...which in of itself is self destructive in most cases...

but you are dead wrong in this case...this is helping FATHEAD and his client BLOWNRANGER.....Danny Loveless built this motor and it came in the form of a phone call today to see if I had dealt with this issue before...and in my case "NOT"...I could'nt afford a gear drive...
