    Default Pictures needed - steering

The boat I have came in pieces with parts all jumbled. Need pics of cable steering pulley setups - I think I am missing some pulleys and have a few pieces I can figure out. Could also use pics of steering column with the gear placement for the chain etc.

    Thanks.

thats true if the boat was equiped with a quadrant, and single unjacked cable. Some boats, even V-drives had single and dual cable tiller steering.

community, it might help if you laid out all the parts to the sterring you have on the floor and photographed them. Then people on here could post pics how each part is installed in the boat.

I guess that I should have said that on his boat the cables run down one side only, not every boat, but most v drives use the cables on one side.

And further, it is different pulley configuration and types depending on whether inside stringer or outside stringer...

I guess that I should of gotten a micrometer out for this answer. They also have different sizes of cable... and different sizes of bolts too...

Not at all Steve. The guy asked about different pulley setups. The pulleys for inside vs outside stringer are entirely different on the passenger side of the boat. Thought that was useful to his question.
