seat question?

I recently got a set of 2-rib fiberglass seats, the inside measures like 17 inches and the outside is 20', was wondering where and what size is the norm for a flatbottom? its a aquacraft 1970 shark, Im thinking that most are about the same, I think i need like a 22 or 23inch these seem kinda small or my ass is getting bigger the originals were wood, and there is nothing left of them, not even enough to be able to measure for comparrison. I dont need exact measurements just wondering what the usuall is? also if anybody knows of a good place to get seats, (fiberglass) I paid $200.00 for 2 seats, I will post a pic when I can, see what you guys think?

seats look bigger in the pic than they really are!! or my butt is bigger!

Dragboatcity.com sells two different size fiberglass shells. One I know is for the bigger boys to squeeze into.

Not quite sure but your seats appear to be circle boat seats....the normal seat I sell is 18 1/2" outside at the thigh for a flatbottom and is in most river boats and drag boats

ya mine are 17 wide on the inside, so yours are 1 i/2 inches bigger, im thinking once these have the cushions, or foam in them , they may be to narrow? not sure, I will measure the boat when i get back from work to see if 22 will fit, I dont need 22 myself (yet), but for other people they might be more comfy. Im on my way to having a 22 seat im sure, I sit to much, it sucks, used to be real active when working for p.d., but for the last 7 years, or 8 yrs? Iv worked for the railroad, I became an engineer, and I sit way to much!!! and then beer doesnt help

i took the 18" seat out and got 22" fat boys there big and nice and barely fit...had to trim top of my mid plate......
