fuel problem need help

Okay I have a fuel problem with 100LL ( aviation fuel). I run this gas in my boat for the higher octane and it evaporates out of my carburetor bowls on a very hot day. When it evaporated it was leaving connotation in the bowls that lead to a calcium build up. I have tryed mineral spirits, gas, diesel, carburetor cleaner, CLR ( I did not soak it in this because.it eats aluminum) and paint thinner. there is nothing that I have tried that will remove the calcium build up 100 percent. the calcium residue is clogging the needle and seat and flooding the motor. Anything else somone can recommen? I'm going to try a vineager bath and if that does not work then they are going it a hot tank at the machine shop but I don't know if that will damage the bowls. The last thing I have been told is pour coca cola soda in to them, but that's a last option for me. please help my 700 horsepower motor will thank you. lol

Where are you located. Be careful of what you use on the carbs you can ruin them wiyh the wrong chemicals. John Avery in Baldwin Park, can bring them back to life, but he is gonna give you a big lecture on using AV Gas

Its not calcium. They don't put calcium in fuel. It doesn't come from the air either. Its probably white rust.
If the bowls don't have sight glasses then they are made of zinc not aluminum. CLR doesn't eat zinc, it won't remove the white rust either.
If the bowls are zinc, get use to it happening. It can actually be a little worse with pump because the ethanol has a small amount of water in it. Chances are your dichromate on the bowls and plates is history. That was the only thing keeping it from forming sooner. You can have them redone, but its not the answer.
Sooner or later, everybody running pump, of any kind, AV or MOGAS will end up fighting it at some point, or getting alum bowls and plates.
Have John go thru them. Maybe add the bowls and plates. When you get them back, they will be better than when Holley built them.

If you continue to run AV, consider adding some Marvel or 2 sroke oil. That stuff has all the lubrication of methanol.

For about $150/carb, you can pick up aluminum bowls and new needle and seats instead of trying to fix them.
