    Default Throttle Cable

My throttle was getting a little sticky. I was able to clean out the cable and get it moving freely. Should I put some sort of oil inside of it to keep it moving smoothly or just leave it dry?

I just bought 2 20' cables from rex for like $50 each. New is the way to go
Life is too short for a slow boat

You don't have to replace the cable unless there's obvious signs of wear. Rode/raced off road motorcycles for years and the cables would get stiff from pressure washing. Use this tool from Motion Pro Motion Pro - Cable Luber and you can clean the cable with an aerosol solvent and lube with aerosol lube. Proper maintenance and it feel like new and last indefinitely.

That is what I use on my bikes after every trip to the dunes! I have 6 bikes total and have never lost one yet and the 2 I take for me to ride get the snot rode out of them. My boat cable is 14 years old and it seems brand new still but for this season I`ve been bring a spare to the track.

That cable lube is the schizzle fo sure but once they get real sticky I would just replace it asap. It's too important and too inexpensive to screw with IMHO... Then after you have the new cable, use the cable luber religiously...
