    Default Burley Shoot out THANKS

I just wanted to thank all the people who made the shoot out happen. First off to Chris Kenner and Mark Moyle for coming up with the idea and to Larry Hamilton for his suggestions on tweaking the format. To the list of the following people who contributed to prize money, awards, fuel and everything else. In not particular order

Chris Kenner Racing and Security Race Products
    Billy B and Krazy Kolors
Paul Fitzgerald and Southern Thunder Marine
    Sid Reynolds and Simple Racing
    Ade Bloomquist and Bloomquist/Kentucky Racing
Brian Weher and Tribal Thunder Racing
Heath Culp and Big Skin Studio Rentals & Teamsters Local 399 from the set of Californication
Mike Stock & the Boise crew
United Oil for the 5 gal of fuel
The Burley Regatta and Burley Chamber of Commerce

If i have missed someone my most sincere apologies and thank you to you.

That was the most fun and most pressure i have ever felt in a boat race. To know GORDY is COMING behind you in Freedom is a mind game that is imense. And to ALL the teams, people etc that came up to me throughout the weekend and congratulated me on a feat i wasnt sure was possible THANK YOU.

Ive seen a couple clips of the shootout, but nothing of the entire race, but what ive seen, Gordy had radar lock on my ass the last lap, and HOLY CRAP he made up a lot of ground. I'm praying someone will have video of this "race" because from everyone i talked to it was insane from the beach.

And Gordy, you calling me a cheater...that's the nicest compliment you could give me, and it was an honor to be in a heat with you!!!!!

    Thank You all,
James Gregory and all of the SS-75 Team

    Default Way to go......

Way to go Jimmy...... I know what it "feels" like to have a screaming K, (or 2), blast by. And that was just at Irvine playing around.... Knowing Gordy and that Freedom boat was in hot pursuit would certainly get your attention.... I remember when your Dad was looking over his shoulder driving his PS boat, running from Conant and Marty, among others.....

    Congratulations.... Job well done......

Gordie put in two amazing laps this weekend. The last lap of the Shootout trying to run you down before the finish. Know that thing was coming had to be a little un-nerving but you held on to the end. You may have had the most exciting seat in the house, but you missed seeing one hell of a charge.
The other was the opening lap of the final on Saturday with Charlie in tow. As amazing as it was to see, I for one was relieved when he pulled off.

Mr. Gregory, It was a pleasure to meet you this weekend. The highlight of my weekend was the shootout. Knowing how hard you thrashed to get the boat done for burley only added to the story. I don't think there was a single person not standing on the beach. You guys had EVERYONE on their feet and cheering that little superstock on! You drove a great race and got what your hard work earned! Congratulations goes out to you and your crew!

    Ian
