How are the stringers laid out in a dual-engine v-drive? Does it have 4(or more) mains, or something that spans between just two? Got any pics of the inside?

That is a really interesting boat! Didn't know they made them that size. Hmmm, 2 all aluminum small blocks would rock!

Why not 2 all aluminum big blocks since that's the normal powerplant in these tugs.

Hey Carl, what do you mean tugs! 28 Campbell is a very cool boat. I had mine for 12 years and loved it. Great on the lake and fun to go to Catalina and the Channel Islands too. Just not too much fun on the highway. 10' beam and weighed 13,750 pounds on the trailer.

PS Walt from Walt's Kawasaki in Havasu has his for sale, it has been repowered with Mercruiser Bluewater 377 Scorpions. They are more horsepower than the stock big blocks and weigh considerably less. I haven't been on that boat, but I am sure that is a really nice combination.

Two small LS small blocks would be cool in a 24. Done right, you can stuff 2 Buick 425 Nailheads in a 24. The old Wildcats do have their advantages
In a 28, definitely BBC regardless how much "power" they claim to squeeze from a SBC

    LS? I was thinking Hemi(s)....in a 21' boat!

"Reduce the weight of your Late Model HEMI engine by almost 100lbs with the new aluminum HEMI Gen III cylinder blocks. Each block is 98lbs lighter than the cast iron HEMI Gen III version."

Would that be for the WOW factor, or do you REALLY believe the GenIII makes power.
They've been making LS alum blocks STOCK for over a decade now, and a GEN III Hemi alum block is BIG NEWS?

From those second set of photos it appears that at least the engine compartment area was of a three stringer design?

Yeah, that's what I'm seeing as well. Now I wonder if that middle stringer runs full length along the keel or stops short in the engine bay.
