Default delta pad on sanger mini

I've heard a lot about chine walking with sanger minis and that having a re-working the bottom with a delta pad would correct this problem. My boat is currently at superior fiberglass having new gel coat, still 3rd in line its all stripped and ready to be flipped over.
My question is where would be the best place to have the bottom work done in lake havasu area. The motor will be approx 550-600 hp
is it even necessary to worry about having a problem with the speed I would get with that set up

You are at the best place if you are at Superior now!

thanks I'll talk to steve. I just was at Petersons in lake havasu he is rigging a new mini for I was told one of the owners of sanger. Its yellow with blue and purple ribbon paint(GEL?) He doing all the rigging. This mini had 4 stringers 2 full length and 2 more about 3/4 length it has a false floor like back in the 70s but with the support of the full and extra stringers. I wish I had the money to be able to buy or build mine to look half that good. He said he did one either last year or year before with a 525sc that did about 75 . I don't know if sanger is building any more but if you got enough money the rigging that he did was unbeliable. I have no idea what it cost for the rigging it just looked real professional

I was hoping for more responce the first time you posted this question. I've been wondering the same thing. I have a Sanger mini and it looks like I'm gonna have to do some stringer work. It would be the perfect time for me to do a Delta Pad, but is it worth the cost or should I just replace it with another cruiser.

You might want to get with George Shilala gfinishline on other boards, and get his input. I know he designed the bottom mods for the 19' Howard GN that is at Superior now. I think George was banned from this site.

That would be true. When I owned it, ran honest 96 mph with a mild blown 468. It handled like it was on a rail. It was a handful back in the "80's though (before bottom work) when Antonini ski raced it. Jocko

I really dont think you have enough HP to worry about it. if your going to add more HP later than you should look in to it.
