Default How slow can you go

Took the stevens out again getting to learn the pedal but was going through the channel had a guy in a cobalt tell me I was going to fast I told him the only way I could go slower was to shut it off. Other than putting a transmission in it there's no other way to go slower is there, it idles at 700 rpms now any help will be appreciated

Good question, I was going to ask the same thing.

Mine idles along to fast too. And I swear its got a bigger wake in the "no wake zone" than it does out on open water.

Plates all the way down and zig zagging is all you can do.

back in the 90's I cruised the channel many times even on holiday weekends and never had a problem.

...I solved the problem of knowingly idleing to fast in the 5mph by not carying my GPS with me...

That's the only thing that worked for me also .... zig zagging kinda kills the wake .... or maybe it just seemed that way from what I rolled in the Zig Zags

    Default Lakeside Oregon

Years ago at Ten Mile Lake there was a v dive hydro going through the "no wake" Chanel between north and south lake. The ranger (F&G or someone) guy had him stopped dead because idle speed was too fast.... I towed him through slow with a little whacker on a fishing boat...... My reward was a ride in the hydro...WHOOOEEYYY, did that thing haul ass... About dusk I heard him coming back from where ever it was he went, and towed him back the other way....Might have been my first exposure to a real screamer, and quite frankly, it scared the hell out of me......But, I would have gone again if he offered!!!!

Hey Mark... Are you up and running yet? I'm guessing that you are still on crutches right? Let us know what's happening...
