lake berryessa Hot boat event

If anyone is interested in doing 1 more Hot boat get together at PUTAH CREEK we need to get all the camp sites reserved at the launch ramp. they are tent camping only but if we can get the sites we can have one more Hot Boat get together there before the BOR shuts the lake down to all power boats after Sept 6th Im thinking in August, 18th 19th. Let me know what ya think.

Hey Rich, Whats up with this? Berryessa being shut down to all powerboats???

The BOR kicked out Pensus and is trying to shut the lake down to all power boats , also never re-opening the resorts, the only resort that wil;l be open is Pleasure cove, we need to write our legeslatures and congress and tell them we wont stand for this great loss.

And the reason for their attempt at this outrageous ban is what? This F'ing Govt. of "ours?" is way out of control and needs to be reeled in before all the rights and freedoms that we once enjoyed are nothing more than a sad memory.

So at Putah Creek... is that the Markley Cove Marina side of the lake?

And so what is BOR going to do with the lake? I heard BLM was taking it over (for governmental purposes).... and then decided to sell it to a land developer (of their choosing) to put a single giant resort and casino on the west shore and make it all a vacation hot spot again?

So they are planning nothing for this entire lake? what like Kayakers or paddle-boarders? or sail boaters?

Whos running this operation ? a bunch of rainbow-coalition, tree-huggin, greenpeace supportin, jaque costeau loving naturalists?????? WTF?

Off topic I'm sorry but this type of stuff pisses me off and is another reason why California sucks due to damn environmentalist!!! Like mentioned above, Government is out of control..

Kinda late to be blowing this horn....We tried to stop this as far back as 2006 when the BLM was putting the resort owners and operators on notice that their leases may not be renewed. BLM had plans to shut down all the "working class" resorts for a number of reasons. The treehuggers, rainbow coalition, greenpeace kayakers and sailboaters siezed this oppertunity to impliment their Gestapo plans to rid the lake of the hotboaters...As one of them told me at one of the "Save Berryessa" meetings "They were intimidated by the noisy, fast hotboats and were afraid to use the lake." Law enforcment also was in favor of shutting down Putah Creek Resort due to the problems with the rowdy crowds, drunks and fights at the bar/restaurant and it's remote location when they were called. Not to speak of the problems at the bridge/cove of people jumping off the rock or the bridge and getting hurt and having the Life-Flight helicopter air lift the injured to Napa. The Coroner didn't like the long drive either.

Yer right, Nick...some of us are our own worst enemy. Since we're throwing stones lets not forget about those inconsiderate idiots that launch their boats from the public ramp and leave their truck & trailer parked on the ramp.

You guys are exactly right.. Boat etiquette has pretty much disappeared..

Hearing the news a few years back that Ranch Monticello was closed was sad, now the entire lake WTF is right......

My parents were one of the original 3 families that started Morgan Hill Ski Club in 1960 at what was called 'Windy Flats', our club ended up being 3 sites next to each other with 13 families.

This news sickens me ..... this place is where I spent all my summers growing up .... F'g government bull shit ....
