    Default Have any of you....

    Found a cool tongue jack for a flatty trailer..? I've googled and all you really find is the std junk...I thought maybe some of you have found something cool and made it your own....I'm tired of using a jack when I get home from the lake...and the trailer falls off the jack as your pushing it back...I'm over it!

    Mike build a big caster with a mini-bike wheel and tire that slides into a pipe or square tube with a pin.
    You can make one for Pat and charge him twice the price which gets you one for free.

    Nobody makes them. Start designing a cool one and be known for something other than straight line graphics, santa suits and midwest style boat trailers.

    We take the base of a desk chair cut chair off and mount a 2" ball to it with a hose clamp. Just have to find the right kind of computer chair.

    Mike, Couple ways to do it easily;

    I have a MACTool jack with a jack cup that has a large hole and it fits a 3/4" thread Hitch ball right into it. I just pop the cup out and put the ball in and use it that way. If you dont have a BIG HOLE....

    Get a 2" BALL hitch with the 3/4" thread (or smallest avail) and then drill a hole in the jack cup.... or

    Cut off the thread and weld the ball to the cup

    Jamestown distributors has a aluminum jack that's capacity is 1600 pounds. If u wanted to make it your own take a piece of 1/4 inch aluminum plate and make a cradle that would fit the triangle part of the toung underneath and drill a hole that the jack would slide in and tig it together . When u use it set it underneth jack it up and u could push the trailer around and when u hook it up you could remove it . Hope it makes sense.
