Default SS BBC E-BAY HEADERS (thru transom)

Has anyone ever bought a set of these Bassett knock-off headers? They seem awfully inexpensive for 304 stainless water injected headers. There are several different guys selling them on e-bay (all seem to have 98-99% positive feedback). The cheapest I've seen is $385.00 buy it now price including free shipping!
I'm considering buying a set, then modifying the collector/tip to run in my Howard runner bottom. Kinda like Dennis Porter (RIP) did on his slower boat with the wet logs out the transom. I would even consider the logs if these headers are bogus. I know I'll give up a few HP, but running thru the transom I can use the race boat at our local (awesome water) St. Croix river just 5 minutes from my house. When I actually race the boat I'll put the headers or zoomies back on and jet up slightly. Thanks, Jocko

we have had two sets so far so good! one on a jet, the other on a spectra v drive they arent super top noch, some lil waves in the bends, and one set had a incomplete weld spot at the colector (easy fix)but for the money, hey go with em. havent found any off the shelf water lines, so expect to build some. hope this helps!

Thanks for the input fupa. Kinda thought more guys would know about these headers. If I run these (and out the transom low, sure will be funny when the Sheriff wants to sound test me at an idle! Jocko

Thanks, have you noticed any problems with cracking and is the collector height about the same as an old log type manifold?

i have not mounted them on my boat yet.. and prolly wont for another week.. were in process of trying to get the boat together .. figured these headers would work better then the logs i had on a blown gas engine were installing.. for the price they look really nice quality.. also have pre installed Bungs for an evac system
