    Default Remember when

5 Bucks bought something. Now its a cup of coffee and a donut if you go cheap.

Found this original Neovane card from Hanly Mfg in an old impeller kit tucked away.

And the impellors lasted longer than a season.
When gas was 4$ plus some kid next to me at the station was complaining about the price. When I told him I used to fill up my VW for the price of a gallon now he started to cry....
Need help finding this 1973 Sanger 18'6" bubble deck mahogany bottom and stringers I was living in Pomona when I sold her in 1979. Just wonder if she still exists

$5.00 would have gained you entry onto the Queen Mary this morning so that you could have taken pix of the Catalina Ski Race................

Was free last year but they made you pour your cocktail out before you could go onto QM........not the case this year.

The way I pour, I figure that the $5.00 was WAY cheaper...........

I remember saying that gas would never go over .99 cents a gallon because there were only 2 digits on the pump

In my auto parts business way back in early 70's I used to purchase R12 cans for 50 cents in 50 to 100 case lots. Gas was around 30 cents a gallon when I got my first car in late 60's. All original 56 Chevy 210, bought from original first owner for $275 in about 68.

Some company back in the early 80's made a BB machine gun that used a can of Freon for power, I think we paid $0.75 a can.
We sure did go through a lot of cans of R12!

Today you'd be arrested and end up in San Quinten for venting R12 into the atmosphere.
