We plan (once we get the big block to work) on putting in a 347 with WINDSOR heads and running it experimentally. The Jones should make an excellent SE runner. We're hoping Ford and Mopar will be legal sometime next year. Not likely with Cleveland heads, though.
Check with Dave (Weber). I've been told by my Ford buddies that discriminating racers run Ford, the riff raff run Chevy. Just passing on what I was told.

The engine builder has FORD (not aftermarket) heads. 1.88 intakes (Chevy is allowed 1.94) and 1.50 exhaust. As I understand it, combustion chambers are legal as are intake runners (Max of 170 cc). Anyhow, he isn't one to build illegal engines, so I'll pass on your message.

The GT40P heads are cool and the "below the curve" flow numbers are very good compared to most of the FACTORY ford small block heads... AND they are as common as 96-2000 5.0 explorers are...
The CCs are plenty small too after a clean up cut...

As to the SE / "Jacked" portion of this thread, read the rules it will be illegal. Let's get some legal boats on the water and showing up at the races. Otherwise the class will be done before we get started.
That said its your turn southwest to put some SE's in the water at Long Beach!
Iv'e had two of my engines pass engine tech one at Burley and one at Black lake haven't heard if any others have been torn down yet. No Tom not my starfire but Pateros should see Hookers new boat and another thats going together as I type out of Spokane. Ford guros are compiling data and well be looked at after this season is over Well see how that pans out. If I was serious about a Ford Id be working out the detals NOW Headers Mounts Pan ext. Get some testing in with some real ###### that's the guys that are gonna be listened to !!!

Even the 1969 head is a stone loser setting on a 350 inch engine, but can't think of a single thing that would make the head illegal.

All boats were sealed post Worlds... We were weighed, fuel tested and carb removed and intake inspected. Along with check for legal components per the rules.
That said It was the WC and all classes were inspected and torn down per the inspectors discretion...
