Default 2012 Long Beach Marine Stadium Races

I would just like to say thanks to everyone who put together such a professional program, I had a blast, being there with the Vintage Boat Crew, we had nine boats displayed. Glad to see so many ask questions about V-drives and restoration processes.

Ross and his crew did a great job! I also notice how respectful all the fans were,I noticed people helping each other break down their canopies and picking up trash. Looking forward to next year !

    Sincerely, Dave Barton

The races were indeed a kick. I'm more of a "straight-line" kind of guy, but I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and all the circle racing.
I forget what the class it's called, but, when the kids ( nine year olds), got out there in their mini hydros, I was really taken. Those kids were racing for keeps, and had those little 15 horse engines banging. ( I've driven a few fast boats, but found myself wanting to "knee-jockey' one of those myself!)
The weather was great, and hanging out with friends and boat racing, well, I guess it's what it's all about, isn't it?
Finally met Mouser, Bandit, 2many mustangs, had quite a few people interested in Stevens stuff, talked boats, exchanged outright lies, and generally interfaced with the nautically endowed, socially impaired, group of people we all know as "Boaters".
I think the crowds enjoyed the eclectic collection of vintage 60s-70s hot rod boats we assembled too.
Those who didn't attend should go next time, it's a good time

    Spike,
    Was nice to meet you.
Thanks for bringing out your two boats.
I concur a good time was had by all.
It's nice to still go to a place I went to as a 8 yr old kid & still be able to 35 years later.
Thanks to all who put it on and participated.
    Hope all is well ,
    Brian
