I am working out the appropriate details of an auction for my vintage Jackson BBC gas-fuel injection to help sponsor tow money to Burley. Any ideas? I thought I would accept offers in the PM file and keep the bidder anonimous except the total price offered. Then at Burley, the complete unit will be delivered to a cash payment and then distributed to all those racers in attendance. What do you think?
This unit should bring 1500 to 2000, I guess. I will only get my equal share of the tow bucks. So 10 boats get 150 to 200 depending.

Thanks to BoatGuy 222 for finding this rare piece for me and his support of Nostalgia racing! Its time to find it a new home.

Description: Early Jackson solid aluminum 9 piece polished casting that has been updated by Kinsler at someones huge expense. It has Kinsler 'K' jets (ten sizes), highspeed diaphrams, dial a jet lean out and quick change jet can. The pump is a Jackson P-3 equivalent of an Enderle 80 good for gas or unblown alcohol. It currently is set up for GASOLINE and 480-526 cubic inches. Included is a remote mount gilmer belt pump drive (2 belts), vaporizer pressure canister and check valves, (no priming neccessary) Hoses, tool tray, all cable linkage hookup & bell crank, fuel shut off (two), Filter, high speed lean out diaphram and 4 check valves, all Kinsler paperwork except pump flow chart.

Bidding starts at $1000 today and will run through the Spring until I decide to have the funds sent. The unit will be at Burley where you or a trusted friend can pick it up. Or we will figure something else out. Obviously, I need cash in hand by race time.

Incidently, the injection last ran on 'T-REX' Monster Truck and before that a wood deck drag boat with a 509 bbc. I was saving this for my nostalgia K boat but that class was only in my dreams. If selling this will help encourage those Nostalgia racers to try Burley just once, I will consider it money well spent!

If anyone else would like to do the same by donating parts or cash, you are more than welcome, however, Mr. Rexie wants me to make sure this is on the up and up and I will work with the Burley folks as well. Total funds allocated will be evenly split between all N.E. racers with special consideration for anyone breaking down enroute and unable to make the first heat. PM me with offers please.

Thanks Steve, I'll try to log on every day for PMs but so far, no minimum bid. Oh well I need to shovel snow, have you seen the news? Spokane got 20 inches in the last few days! Carports are collapsing, buses getting stuck, schools closed, and now our Governor declared a state of emergency, I guess it's our turn for sure. Did someone really believe in Global warming? How about IceAge around the bend?

Steve, you are too kind! I just received the first offer on the injector by one of our own racers! BUT He has to pay with baby sitting change, shiney rocks and DARNING socks, so the money may be a little slow coming in.....! Thanks Rat, your intentions are admirable.

I'd like to know more about this set-up. I don't know jack sh_t about it. Someone told me that if I got this style of fuel injection it might need to be started with a spray bottle to prime it? Is that correct? He also said that it won't idle very well. Is this something that is reliable? I'm seriously thinking about bidding on this bitchin lookin piece. I bid on one that was on eBay, but it was kind of trashed and wasn't near as nice as this one so I didn't bid very high on it.

Oh yea, it's for a family boat that I want to be able to occasionlly kick the family out of - and onto the sandbar - and go haul the mail alone. 19' Mach 1 tunnel hull.
