Looking for information on the boat in the above pictures. The notable aspect of the boat is the totally flat deck. When the water hit the deck, it ended up in your lap. My dad owned this boat from ‘64 thru ’70. He built in Redwood City, Ca. and ran at Lake Berryessa in Napa Ca. I think the coloring was Metallic Green, white stripe with the wood deck. Sold it to a San Mateo County Sheriff back in the '70's. Sheriff was said to have installed a blower and had it running triple digits!?!?!?!
Was wondering if you have an idea on the model name (if any) or any relevant info. Would love to find this boat. If anything, enjoy the vintage pictures.
Kool old Rayson Craft. I can't help you much with the model but it is a neat boat. As far as the water coming over the deck onto your lap, most flat bottoms will do that when you miss judge the water conditions and the throttle position. Do you own the boat or are you looking for it?

. It's a awesome style of boat. If you want any information on my Raysom craft just let me know ? I love the thing but can't take it with me.
I'm looking for it. As the story goes, my dad built up the engine in his garage in high school. He had planned to put it into a hot rod. (He drove and Olds Tri-Power at the time.) The day he fired it up for the first time, his mother thought WWIII was breaking out in their garage. She demanded that he get rid of it immediately! Well a compromise was made and it ended up in this boat.
Six years later I was born............ My parents said I cried every time I was around it. It guzzled gas faster than they could fill it up, it didn't have a top to keep the sun off, and it left them stranded more than a couple times. They determined it wasn't a "family boat" and sold it. It was replaced it with a 18' Sea-Ray. Would love to find it. My mom would snap it up in an INSTANT.
Anyways, thanks again for looking.
