Over the last couple of days i have been talking to bob privett. He is one of the sons of eagle boats and he was able to provide me with some awesoe history on my boat and on eagle boats in general, he sent me a couple photos that i wanted to share with everyone. He also was able to explain to me that my boat was rigged and driven by him and his brother from 1978 to 1995(original owner) were are trying to hook up for trip to the river so he can take his old boat for a spin.
Please post up and and all pics of eagle boats and i will share them with him as well
Always loved the colors on your boat. Here's a couple shots of the first Double Eagle/Eagle. Jim Mobley recently bought it and is in the process of cleaning her up. They will be running the Gps 95 class

Thats funny you say that cause bob said that they painted those colors cause thats what was left over from a couple of different boats and they were building mine for them selves and trying to keep cost down
You are correct the k 14 is the black and silver boat it was the first one we built out of the mold it later became the 303 boat. If you do a search of Double Eagle Boats you will find a tread titled Double Eagle and Eagle Flatbottoms I told the History of the plug mold and the first couple boats. They are all out of the same mold Double Eagle and Eagle. When Bob and George Took the mold to Mels they just dropped the Double and called them Eagles.
Yes these are the same boat. I don,t know anything about the Silver and Yellow Eagle but I don,t believe it was run as the Hobbitt. I am thinking some one just used the k 14 Numbers The black boat was run as the Hobbitt and had Chuck Boyds motor in it when it went to Firebird for it maiden voyage. Again this boat later became the 303 boat. To clear up Double Eagle and Eagle Flatbottoms are all out of the same mold we built for Bob. The first couple boats being build out of our shop in North Long Beach for Bob Privitt and George McDougle. That is George in the K 14 Shot at the wheel.
My bad you are correct I thought that was the K42 boat colors flipped
