    Default trailer mod information

i have a spectra 20 jet for the wife. i just bought about a year ago . when the trailer was made in 2000 i noticed the bunks dont seem to be long enough alowing the keel at the boat to almost touch the cross beam of the trailer. no keel pad is there. also the bow eye attachment is the same straight bar we use from the flats and hydros. i thought about making a v pad in the front like the new tow boats use and a winch in the front. can i lift the boat off as a whole and set on some matresses. would i grab from engine or strap the rear under the hull and same near the bow. i just sold my old spare jet trailer and kick myself now. any ideas or am i drinkin to much again?

X2. Andy just lifted my flat off the trailer for me to do some bunk work. He's done this a time or two.

How about jacking the boat up and blocking it to the trailer, if that would work for your proposed mods. YOur trailer may bend, you may need more blocking points.
