    Default T-deck Runnerbottom RC Boat

A buddy of mine will be taking delivery of this RC boat hull in the next couple of days.
(It is the first "open boat" flatbottom out of the mold)
It will eventually be rigged with a minature billet v-drive and a nitro RC engine, etc...

How big are these boats and what type of powerplant is normally used in them. Also a contact number would be nice. I'm just finishing up a 5' Higgins style PT Boat from WWII, and am thinking one of these could be fun depending on size.

According to the builder, he is running "45mph on the GPS with a 275 stock prop and a M6 Zenoah" engine.

    News Flash!!!

New 1/5 Scale Runner Flat Bottom

Dana Wilson at DaVette Boats has designed a new TAF Runner hull! The Davette is now in production. All boats are sold assembled and primered ready for paint with 5" engine rails installed . Engine rails and transom are made of 1/4" 5 ply baltic birch plywood. Dana also makes an open cockpit version of this hull.

Computer-designed and CNC-Machined from billet aluminum, these V-Drives replicate full-size V-Drives. Shipped with 1:1 gear ratio, several gear options are available. Ball bearings support the stainless steel drive shafts in both front and rear. Precision stainless steel spur gears provide the force of the drives. Specify motor and drive system desired (flex square cable, flex collet cable, or solid shaft). Available in both 4" and 5" mounts.

How cool are these?!? Spun aluminum fuel tanks complete with vertical mounting brackets. Turned from 6061-T6 aluminum, these tanks feature "O"-ring sealed end caps, brass fuel fittings, and all fasteners for mounting. Sizes in 4oz. for smaller hulls, and 8oz. for larger models and gasoline

The M6 engine modification is quickly becoming the engine of choice for competition model boat racing. Higly modified, providing sustained RPMs over 17,000 @ over 4HP. This engine is perfect for competition model boating powering Vee bottoms, Catamarands, Hydros, and Outriggers. The M6 is designed to be used clutchless and requires our Dry Tuned pipe system with 2 inch powerband for proper operation.

    Features

    High Compression
    Relieved Piston
    Lightened Piston to 21 grams
    Lowered Intake Timing
    Raised Exhaust Timing
    High Hat Exhaust Porting
    Copper Coated Base Gasket

    Now for the disclaimer...

I have no financial interest nor am I affiliated in any way with neither the RC boat builder nor any of the various component manufacturers.

I am only passing on the information for those that might be interested in an RC version of the boat that so many of us enjoy!!

I know the age old saying is if you have to ask how much something cost you can't afford it but I got to ask, what does one of these things cost? And what is the cost complete ready to drop in the water?
