Default Lost another old circle racer today

My Grandpa Tom Doidge passed away this morning. He got the family into the sport we love in 1961. Tom has built many boats and enjoyed always going to the races. He was a great man and taught me that never say you can't do something. He will be greatly missed. I was trying to finish one of his last boats he built right before his passing. I'm still going to finish it with him looking over me. Love you grandpa..

    Tom Doidge 1918-2010

Hers a pic of the boat that he built and I'm finishing

Very sorry to hear this. I have known Tom for years and have always admired his work. He had a "can do" attitude that should be an inspiration to everyone.

Wow, I am at lost for words. I feel so lucky to be able to work with Tom side by side on our cracker a few months ago. Tom just finished up a brand new wood crackerbox last year as well. His detailed work was amazing on the boat. The world/racing community has lost a great man. On behalf of the Games Family, rest in peace Tom and our condolences go out to the whole Doidge Family

There is a man who rung out every last drop of life from his body before he hung it up. I am sorry for the families loss but damn he had a helluva run!

    RIP Mr Tom...
