Hey Bob. I got the trailer done and tomorrow I'll start on getting the steering and cav hardware back together. The trailer is nothing special but it looks better than it did. Most of the hardware needs to be cleaned and polished, so I'm going to take some time to get it all together. I'll be ready for next year though! I'm really looking forward to turning left!

Old School, you going to be putting a REAL LEGAL engine in this thing? Lowsodium had the nicest boat at Burely, and it ran pretty well too..........for a CHEATER!

Which reminds me. How come the CHEATERS in the class are allowed to run so soon after a DQ? Not like that in other classes. That cheating stuff is taken pretty serious.

    BTW, still one nice LP!

Bob, yes we are doing a legal engine for it, using a callies crank with BBC snout as we're driving off snout, JE flat top pistons, carillo rods and BOUNCE is working on the heads 041 castings, edelbrook, manifold and a 4776 holley, will be at ISKY this week to go over the cam with Ron. Have to locate a nice set of headers still as well....

Almost forgot to say Thanks for the compliment again Bob, oh and just in case we decide to run one we did a scoop up to match the rest of the boat, and to keep the namesake alive had it striped as well....

    Default Thanx Bob

Chucked another rod thru the pan and had a very exciting fire. I actually thought about jumping in the lake but grabbed the extinguisher and by then the biggest of the flames had flashed out. Just the oil in the pan burning thru the hole in the side of the motor.

We were up front on the inside and having a great time racing Levi Weber when things went bad.

The boat will be for sale but I promised first right of refusal to Fathead and the Boys of Boise. I'll post it here next if they don't want it. Some slight fire damage to the back of the boat and scoop. OH, and a blown motor. Very competitive boat.

I understand the folks at Caltrans Hired Protection have cheating down to a science.
