NW Boat Dealers & Builders getting hit hard.

Will it ever end? Just think 1st it was Olympic and now Meridian Yachts on the big boy side, both Closing their doors. Now I hear Cope & McPhetres-Seattle/Woodenville and PowerBoats NW are both going under. Key Bank has stopped its Marine/RV Lending. I'm sure there will be/are more. Who is next? How will their customers be serviced? I wonder how Mercury is doing and what about all those extended warranties boat buyers bought. Lots of questions with few answers. Tighten your belts because I believe the worst is still to come.

What if these guys owe merc, and who else they have open acounts with. It's getting a little to close to home now.

Our company was going through Key Bank for our Sunseeker line. Since they pulled the plug on the Marine/RV Lending, Sunseekers will be an order only item.
With the economy the way it is, one would have to wonder how Mercury is doing. Most likely tightening the belts just a bit like everyone else.
Besides all of the larger companies, many of the smaller "Ma & Pa Shops" have shut down around here also.
Hopefully this turns around soon, not just for the marine industry's sake.
