Fuel at $4 a gallon ? How will this impact your lake/river trips this summer ?

Watching one of the morning news programs today, according to AAA , gasoline will hit $4 a gallon by summer ( $4.50 or MORE in Cali ) How many of you will do less trip's to the river this year? We've got our boat stored at our river house in Parker, so we save a TON on towing the 400 + mile round trip every time. I figure I'm still looking at $350 to $400 for fuel for a weekend outing, X our usual 16 to 20 trips = HFS !!

We will do our part to burn alot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wont effect us one bit over here

Have to decide witch boat to drag to the water.

The sound of $250 to fill the boat does make me a little sick to my stomach! Will spend more time floating and less time on the gas.

I would do a dance at $250 to fill. Small boat single screw=$400 plus to fill at
projected prices. THAT is enough to make you physically ill.
The best therapy you ask???? More throttle

Buy race gas that way you wont have to spend $4.00 dollars a gallon.

GO BIG MERC 1075's , And only 92 octane.

150 Gallons @ 4.50 = $675.00 OUCH, I guess I will just have to buy cheap beer and not stop for derailers @ $22 each.. Or get a 2nd girlfriend to help out... HHHMMMM tuff choice!!

The gas prices going up just make the explanation of B.O.A.T more understandable..

Boating will not suffer, but I may have to cut down on making Jello shots.
