Mayfield lake

Anyone from around the Olympia/ Centralia area? Where do you like to boat? Mayfield, Rife, Black lake, or Summit are the ones I like best. Going this sunday. Temp. in 80's?

Mayfield is a good one until the wakeboard boats tear it up too bad, then we hide in party cove and drink the afternoon away, Riffe is great too. I wish i could go sunday but be safe and have fun

Same with us. Riffe has way more room

when you head up into the party cove at Mayfield and under the lil bridge....can you make it all the way up that river ? if so, where does it lead you to ?

The river by the party cove really doesn't go anywhere. If you go up the cowlitz arm you can go to the base of the dam.

we were staged at the state park....went what I thought was do east..thru a no wake zone (fish pens / aqua culture), then into a residential area. then the lake narrows, goes under a short bridge, then up a narrowing canyon....it opens and closes as you go up it.

Then you come to a very TALL bridge (something youd bungie jump from)...

where was I ?

Headed to the dam.

so you can make it all the way up there ? we got a lil scared when it got very narrow. depths were fine, just no turn around in sight

The river gets wide after that spot. Then it turns into a fast moving river right up to the dam. A little hard to turn around to go back. Need power as the river feels like it is moving about 15mph.
