Default The inside info on Long Lake (spokane)

Hey, would you guys be willing to post up some info on what Long Lake is like, campgrounds, boat launches, little boat friendly?, noise issues and anything else you could offer up would be very much appreciated.

Pictures would be cool as well if possible. Looking at GoogleEarth is looks pretty cool

Just kicking around the idea of maybe checking it out some time next year.......

    Thanks a bunch..........John

There are lots of places to launch your boat there the best spot for camping would be Nine Mile Resort. Rv hook ups and rest rooms and also camps sites as well. This would be your best bet for a weekend get away. There are other places to go but some are private"like willow bay" must be a member. Some poeple can get in there with a time share. But long lake is a friendly place to boat. If you mind to your self the cop's are very cool and very frienldy. Just make sure that you have all the legal equipment on your boat and you will be fine. As far a noise go's they are very easy going there too. There are lots of little boats there and the clan is growing in size. I'm sure that you can get some feed back from Travis aswell "Twinturbo540" as he bots there too. Its a great little place for bigger and smaller boats to go as the water does not get very ruff. Here are some pic of last summer and some of the boast that boat there.

P.S. Its the type of lake where locals know most all of the boats on the water. But if you get a chance you should make a trip as you would love it. Lots of fun and good people to hang out with.

Talked to the guys in the CP and Baja at Mardon and seemed like good peeps. Not so sure about the guy with the purple hat in the other boat though.

The pics looks fantastic and it would be good to get a small group of westsiders to check it out.

Thanks Brayden. That looks really nice. We've been up near the Diamond Lake area a bit to the north and really liked it up there though probably not too boat friendly for our boat anymore. So the wind doesnt seem to be a problem? Travis, you know the kind of wind I'm talking about. Brayden probably digs (no pun intended, sorta) the chop that you and I hate (ie...Mardon)

Thanks again guys and keep the tips coming...........john

We rarley ever get any wind there, it is pretty well protected by the hills and trees on both sides. There are a few open areas that get some wind every now and then but it is never anything close to what we had to drive through at Mardon. Also if we do get any wind it does not stick around for long at all and always dies off in the early evening.
