    Cool New Snow

Received 15 inches of new snow here in Coeur d'Alene. Winter is only 1/2 over and we already have received more snow this winter than we get for the entire winter season. Looking forward to spring. I must admit, coming from living in Lake Tahoe, our winters here are not that bad. Hayden Lake is froze solid. Been a few years since I've seen that..more snow expected for the rest of the week...sucks..

    Default Lake Roosevelt

We spent 9 days on Lake Roosevelt. We stayed at Keller's Ferry. The weather was great, 90+ every day. Had some issues with wind and water level, but we had water front camp sites. The military fly byes daily were awesome. As previously mentioned there was miles and miles of water to cruise. However, there were no real destinations to cruise to (bars, resorts...). While we had waterfront sites, the camp ground was basic; we barely fit our 36' diesel pusher in our site. I would go there again, but not on an annual basis.

We stayed at Keller’s Ferry campground. Our group had several of the waterfront sites, so we all kept our boats anchored out by our sites. I utilized an anchor and a sand spike. There were a couple of days where the water level fluctuated several feet, so I had to move the boat out a couple times, not a big issue as the water was like bath water.

They have a nice marina and boat launch, so if you have concerns you could get a slip.

    Smile Going back this year

First trip to Couer d' Alene was last year over labor day with my 38 Eliminator and a friends 38 Fountain. No problem with noise or speed. Ran into Mike with CRC and could not believe he was on vacation with his family going up the rivers in his race boat after just seeing him at the races. Mike, put some mufflers on that bad boy and come on back.

Will be back there this year mid August for the big get together with some new trick Eliminators.

Spent a few days on Ponderaille (sp) also and found it beautiful AND QUITE.

Looking foreward to seeing a bunch of you guys at our Shasta event June 13 & 14.

Default Lake Coeur d'Alene Circa 1890

Here are some additional photos of Lake Coeur d'Alene. These photos were taken where the Coeur d'Alene Resort and Tubbs Hill is located. We still have snow on the ground but spring is in the air. If someone can make these photos show up when you open the page rather than attachments it would be nice..thanks..

    Default More Snow

Got out of bed this morning, looked out the window and it's snowing. Can't believe it. It should melt away. Suppose to be a high today of around 42. Should be like this for the next 10 day's. Snow at night then rain with a melt off..sucks.
