Can anyone identify if this is a Sanger or Stevens? Is there much difference?

Also, get ahold of Superlite on here. His pops was distributor for Sanger in the NW and has a ton of knowledge and experiance with them.

Thank you and thanks for the welcome! I will contact superlite for more expertise. Everyonehere seems so cool! I am located in Phoenix Oregon (just south of Medford). Hoping to find a club of some sort to run with next summer. Definatley planning to check out some CDBA events in the spring. Been checking em' out on line, they look like a blast!

Yea, the more I talk to people the more I'm thinking it's a Stevens. There's carpet inside, but today or tomorrow I hope to pull it out and find where some people have been saying I could find some numbers. They are cool old boats. I like your jet. Thanks for posting the pics. They have alot in common.

Update on Sanger/Stevens Id.

As you may recall, I am trying to figure out if my 64 flatbottom is a Stevens or Sanger. I found a local guy with a 1964 Stevens very similar to mine. I went yesterday and took a bunch of pictures ot campare to mine, but right off the bat noticed distinguishable differnces. When I compared those differences on line to other boats, I think it looks more like a sanger than the Stevens I was looking at. I am attaching photos of the local guys 64 Stevens. Can anyone identify it? Does it have a particular hull design name?


Ultimatley I know ifI have a Stevens it will have the numbers inside the trasom above the rudder. Unfortunatly it's covered in carpet and I am having a tough time getting ot out/ Any advice on that one?

I was thinking it was a Stevens, but now i'm not so sure.
