Is there anybody in the Phx area that I can talk to about my boat

I'm trying to fix the floor and remount the seats in the boat I just got. The patch job that was done is not right. I could use a couple of pointers.
I don't mind dragging it over so you can take a look and tell me how to do it...

I don't have any friends with boats so I am kinda on my own with this project.

Was the boat in this condition when You got it? Was the interior in the boat or just laying loose or out? Are ther any threaded rods or bolts sticking out the back upper side of the seats where it fits to the gunnel?
It looks to me like that the boat once had a full floor that has rotted and has been cut out. You will need to get some ply wood and build a new floor.
The area where the little wood blocks are there is probobly what we will call a frame stringer under there. It is really not a stringer but just a support for the floor as is the center piece that is allready exposed. To do it right You really need to grind the glass back to the point that it meets the fiberglass hull, exposing the wood frame stringer, determine if it is rotted or not and needing replacement. then grnd down the rest of the floor, removing carpet glue and what not and exposing fresh fibeglass. Cut ply wood to fit the shape of the area and reglass the floor back in.
THIS IS JUST A QUICK GENERALIZATION OF THE PROCESSE. THERE IS MORE INVOLVED!
In regards to the seats, looks like they were built to just sit on the floor and were probobly screwed to some cleats that were glassed to the part of the floor that was cut ot, and maybe bolted to the gunnels,on the sides. The pices that run purpindicular to the rest of the seat frames are just support pieces that fit to the angle of the hull, to hold the flat seat parts up.
If You are attempting to mount the seats in the boats present condition,You are missing a very big piece of the puzzel,The floor!
In boats with this type of construction the floor is used as an impotant sructural aspect of the hulls rigidity and will not be stong enough with out it. The only way to overcome no solid floor would be to convert to full stringers.......Hal
