Eric, you just moved to the wrong part of Utah. I dont have a problem with mormons from Cali or Az but those lousy MFs in S Utah well......

i spent a pretty big part of my life in utah...there arent a ton of performance boats but every once in a while you'll find one to go hot rod around with...
like someone else stated youre only a couple hours from lake powell...thats one of the most beutiful places on earth and there are some performance boats down there...i havnt been to powell for quite some time now but im sure you will still find some good boating and some cool people there....heres a pic from iceberg canyon...awesome looking place and (when the lake is full) more shore line than the entire west coast

You noticed that too? 25 years in salt lake and it doesn't mater what they think..Utah Mormons are not the same as 'rest of the world Mormons.
I swapped a bunch of email from a Mormon who lives in Indiana... Met him on a "Topix" Mormon bashing thread.....He is a real stand up guy....came off a lot like Doc does... We had the 'Utah mormons are different' conversation....came pretty close to telling me it was impossible...A few months later he tells me his oldest son is going on his mission....They were sending him to salt lake....I reminded him of the conversation...I got a "Bah humbug'. About a month after his son shipped out his son was all about finding a way out of there..to anywhere...He was having issues with everybody's holier than thou attitude...not so much with other members...more about how non-members were judged....behind their backs.....The kid couldn't deal with it because that's not how he was raised. His dad owned his own business and because he was a religious minority in his world he wasn't judgmental of anybody....even me He even has an open invitation for a boat ride and a beer....'a' beer
