Flyin' Hawaiins trip to the ER

A couple of weeks ago........my dads Hawaiin was experiencing oil pressure problems of it falling of drastically when you gas it.......we prepped the motor to be pulled last night.......this evening we pulled the motor out........looked at bearings....they were good.......we decided to put a new
Oil pump in it.........we believe the old oil pump took a dump & have corrected the problem.........stuck the motor back in....poured oil into her......and fired her up.....now we just have to make a test run and see how she does

I pulled the alternator off this morning and is being re built today....bought a new belt.... waiting on alternator to get fixed.....going to get it and heading home to put it back on...... we should make a test run this evening!!

Only think I'm scared of is with Lucas and 20/50 Royal Purple it's cold idle at 80psi. Not good with a stock pan :-/

We ran it yesterday......once the motor warmed up it dropped down to where it should be. We got to the bank where the party was and noticed a ton of oil in the back of the boat.......plug on the oil pan come loose. Put a full turn on it. Corrected that problem. Then the needle an seat began sticking in the back carb....the one we already replaced recently.......overall she's back to the way she was before an ready to party it up this summer
