So if I build a 540 pump gas motor, I'll get this same HP? nothing else to factor in just build it and it will be the same?
I looked at having an engine built and one of the first questions the builder asked was how much power was I looking for and how close to the edge was I willing to go. When I asked him how much of a difference it made he said it could make at least 50 hp worth of difference and probably more. But then again, he said that the lack of the extra HP could mean months or even years of longer life on the engine.
I see two great builds and two great engines. The fact that both engines have the same basic discription doesn't make them identical in any stretch of the imagination. This is why some people in a stock class fly while others limp around. It's not the discription that makes the HP, it's the hidden secrets.![]()
