Default Manx type dune buggy thinking of selling

I have a '65 titled VW dune buggy that I just bought around 2 months from a friend that owned it for the last 5+ years. I think it is a 1600, I know it is a dual port, newer tires, old school buggy...lots of fun but not going to work out for what I had planned.

Not sure of an asking price yet...just checking to see if there is any interest?

Thanks, I made a bunch of calls and most suggested starting out at 5k, I think 4500 is a better starting point and go from there...I just read up on finding engine size code and will be checking this weekend to see what size it started out as.

Stored indoors Havasu, Needles area...not much to the buggy...I bought it from a friend that owned it for 5+ years. I think I have driven it maybe 5 times total now....It starts right away even after sitting for 2 weeks, carb could use a little adjustment to run idle a little higher. Runs, shifts and brakes great. I drove it on the highway at 65 next to the big rigs...that was a bit crazy due to the wind pushing me around a lot but I would not hesitate driving this thing all over town or on trails...I would never use it as a highway vehicle that is for sure....

PM for contact info if interested.
    Thanks

Was dying at idle so I had the carb rebuilt, new points, cap, rotor...and what ever else it may need before I sell it...

I Had found a toy I wanted a little while back and needed to make some so I dropped the price down to 3700 for a quicker sale but the toy sold before I could go down and pick it up so the buggy price is back to what I think it is worth after researching a bunch of them on a lot of VW sites.

    $4100.00 OBO....

Or possible trade for nice lifted not over the top 4 seater EZGO workhorse gas golf cart with long roof and flip back seat.
