Default 85 day crusier stereo rewiring/sub

im completly new to setting up stereo equipment. i have a 1985 sleekcraft that has 3 amps and 2 10" subs.

im truly clueless as to where to start, i just bought a pyle in dash deck to replace the CD one we have now. a few of my friends have said to carefully trace the wires to see where they went in the first place. and i possibly have a guy who would help me do the tracing.

id like to learn this for myself since the boat is my baby, is there an ( audio for dummies ) guide surfacing the web that explains how to set up everything?

From the looks of that wiring, it all needs to be redone. No need for all the butt connectors if the wiring is thought out. What questions do you have and I can walk you threw all of it.

When you trace the wiring, you can use a 9 volt battery to trace the speaker wires, touch one to ground and tap the other to the pos on the battery, the speaker will pop, mark the wires after you trace. Also when you test the speakers this way, they should pop out when you tap the battery, if they pop in the phase is reverse. Use fuses, solder and heat shrink when possible. Good Luck !!!
