Default Should I run an oil cooler and switch to Delo motor oil?

    I have a stock 1989 Bravo 1 rated at 330 h.p.
We like to do extended runs between Laughlin and Havasu turning around 3200-3500 rpm.
My mechanic nehpew was on board last weekend. He said he noticed a little drop in oil pressure about an hour into the run. He thought the oil was getting a little warm, hence the drop in pressure.
He suggested switching to Delo for the 454. He says it's all he runs in his big truck motors as it has some additional additives in it that would benefit a hard running boat motor.
Any thoughts? Is it a difficult install, I have the remote mounted oil filter. The boat is a 1989 23' Sleekcraft Executive with 299 original hours.
    Thanks!

There is no benifit to running a diesel oil any more. Since all diesel trucks have gone to a particulate filter and low ash motor oil, most of the additives that were put into the Delos, rotellas, ect are gone. The only oils left are the racing oils like Brad Pen, ect. I'd be running expensive race oil in any boat reguardless of HP.
