Default Automotive gm 5.3 in scarab engine oil temperature/pressure and weight

I installed a gm ls style 5.3 in my 19 ft scarab. Its fun but i am vary curious what the oil pressure, oil temperature and oil weight should be. Its a bone stock 2006 ls style 5.3. I am on the line of putting a set of high compression heads and nasty marine profile cam in it. But right now its stock! It has a open loop cooling system driven by the jet pump. The water temp sensor on the head is reading 128F. Im in the process of putting and oil temp and pressure guage in it. My question is what would be an ideal oil temp and pressure after a hard run? The engine says to use 5w30 can anyone please recomend a good oil to run in the boat to make it last/ Thank you for your time in advance Nathan Hatley

06 Is a damn good motor! Id run either a 15-40w or straight 30 if its a pull out engine with stock bearings and want to see 55-60 cold idle 70 hot cruise wot.i run a 8qt oan no temp sensor but oil temp stays low nuff i can touch the alum pan pretty easily.open cooling system feeding the block water first then outta heads and over board.intercooler preheats the water to engine.

Dare to be different, if it turns out great you can claim you planned it that way.

I run a good 5w-30 in mine. 6.5qts in the GTO oil pan I use. I have closed cooling and for the most part is stays at 185deg. I see 55lbs of oil pressure at 4600rpm. I need to cut my impellor down for more rpm. Been running that way for 3 seasons now without a problem.
