    Default 8/11 Delta rip?

According to the devine Scriptures of the talking Walnut, Saturday August 11th will be a primo day to launch Out of the Wood and do what we do best. Anyone interested in a little nuttyness on the Delta?

Don't know if I'll be on the water Saturday as I may be getting my Skater back this weekend. If not, I'll probably meet up with you guys in either my Stoker, or with my buddy in his STV Euro.

So what time is everyone meeting at Whorewood's? Looks like I'm in with the Stoker. 9:30 -10:00??? We can run up through Mildred, by King's Island, past Tower Park up the S. Mokelumne to Wimpy's for lunch and then back down the N. Mokelumne to B & W and back through Frank's Tract to Holland to Whorewood's again. I think it's about a 70 mile loop, with plenty of 91 octane at the docks along the way.

Just checked Google Earth and the loop is 65 miles. There's 91 octane about every 20 miles of the loop. I only get 2 mpg, and I make it no problem with the 40 I hold (I used exactly 30 gallons last time I ran this loop). It's some of the twistiest backwaters of the Delta, so an average speed of 70 feels like you're really moving with all the turns.

Sounds like a good loop. 91's not going to help the boat on e85 though. I'm in for anything but I also don't want to leave anyone out.
