    Default Need Insurance advice.

I can't be the only one with this question.
Many of you know my SS24 HTM. I have had it for 10 years and insure it with Markel for about $2500 per year. I have never had a claim with it. The amount of money spent on insurance is getting tougher to swallow with my retirement income.
What are my options for a 10 year old, 24', 95 mph boat? There must be a better way.
    Thanks in advance.

Sorry didnt see this right away. State Farm, Farmers, Allstate will not write this boat due to the speed (Allstate is the closest but they max out at 75mph). Sometimes you can get around it by saying the boat only does 60mph, but when you have a claim and they discover that it was a faster boat than what had been disclosed, claim denied and you are SOL. I am the (self proclaimed) DLB insurance broker and have hundreds of carriers, so I would be happy to look around and see if I can find you something better. At the very least you will know what options are out there. This goes for any other DLB members too, fyi. Im always happy to help

No problem getting insurance on a HTM since the bottom is actually classified as a modified v since its not a tunnel boat, makes insurance cheap too, like they said check State farm and see what they say.
You will be surprised how much quotes will differ in price.

I had a hard time finding insurance! Not many places will cover a 100+ mph boat.

Statefarm was almost 1/2 of Wozencraft for my 100 mph boats.

Are your 100 mph boats outboards? I got turned down most of the normal ins companies including State Farm that said my boat was uninsurable. Out all the places I tried, only Wozencraft and Wakezone would provide coverage.

    Default yep

They have been outboards. It looks like if nobody else will insure, Wozencraft will.

I have Stae Farm.. they originally turned me down, but since I have everything, autos, house, life, umbrella... and we are third generation with the same office, told them insure us or we're gone. They buckled. $430 year, for $25,000 value Two years ago, first claim in 33 years, did not even come out to see, just sent a check.
