    Default Sunday June 30 boating

We made up here to Northern California and ready to hit the water this Sunday. We are launching from whiskey sloughs, anyone going out and want to show us around?

I was out last night, planning on tonight and Saturday... so there's no way I can get away with Sunday. ... sorry. The cost on that would be too great .

I like Whiskey Slough... the guest dock is long and in good shape plus it tends to be less of a zoo than some others as it's at the "end of the road". Also, the little cafe serves burgers/dogs and $1 draft beers! Really, where can you get a pint for a buck any more?

Are you here to stay or just for a visit? The Delta is a great expanse of narrow water ways... and during the week hardly anybody out so it's great fun after work to unwind! Weekday late afternoon is my favorite time.... hot and flat with just the right amount of wind chop. Those wake surfing tsunamis really suck on the weekends.

A gps and chart wouldn't be a bad idea if you are new to the area... it's saved my butt more than once. "Honey are we lost?" I use a little hand held (without chart kit) and mark "waypoints" at all the major intersections, then mark the chart as same. Cheap, simple, effective.

    Have fun.

We just moved to the area, we are here to stay!
I do have a GPS so I hope that helps?! I really would like to go out our 1st time with some people but no big deal. Just looking for some places to go and see. Do you know of any beaches that we can go to and hang out and throw the football?
thanks for your input and look forward to seeing you on the water..

If you can, push the day back to the 29th and come by the beach trip posted. There should be a few of us out, and we will surely be swinging by a couple local watering holes.

I checked it out, very cool. I do have a pretty good Garmin on the boat so this is one more tool that will help.
We should be on the water around 11 if you are still going out? Give me a call
