    Default Ideal spot?

The wife and I are toying with moving to a place we can boat more... So a question for you DLB's where do you think an Ideal spot to live is??

    Must be waterfront.
    The cooler the better... lol
The bigger the lot/land the better.. We live on 20 acres now.
Im a General Contractor so land or fixers work..
Curious as to which areas to stay away from as well..

I'll never move from Discovery Bay.........lived out here since '87. Sacramento is a 60 mile boat ride and San Francisco is an 80 mile boat ride. I can be at the Golden Gate bridge in under an hour from my dock, Sacramento is about an hour and fifteen due to all the 5 zones on the way. The boating is second to none from here imo.

Discovery Bay would be my choice in this area. However the properties don't offer much in the way of land, if that's of importance.

Nearby, Bethel Island properties can offer more land, but I think they'd be closer to an acre (or less). Still a good central location.

There are some good waterfront properties up in Sacramento on Garden Hwy that offer a bit more space than the footprint of the home too.

Other than those, the Naples area in Long Beach is a sweet location if you're into ocean boating and weekends on Catalina Island.

Got a buddy selling a house in disco but it's at the million dollar mark don't know your budget.
If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of hours. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.

The largest waterfront parcel of land in Discovery Bay is for sale still right across the water from me. I think it's down around $2 mil now - you could build yourself a large house on it and have no neighbors on either side of you.

X2. I'm in Disco but not on water. Still manage to get out every week keeping boat at Whiskey Slough. Love the water and the weather. Good luck with search!
