Head out of Orwoods, turn right (towards Disco bay) left on Indian Slough to Old River.
Left on Old River to Holland Cut, Holland Cut to Old River (east side of Franks Tract.) To San Joaquin River.
Left on San Joaquin River to 2nd right, go past Pirates Lair (kinda hidden) past River Boat, Willow Berm (stay way right 200' no 5mph)
past Perry's, B&W Resort straight up the North Fork Mokelumne River to bridge @ Guistis Restaurant (bridge)
Under bridge take small slough to right (stay in middle 5 mph) Wimpys @ end of small slough to the right.

    Have a good one.

" About a 7" let us know how it works out.

Make sure you got plenty of gas, B&W has credit card activated pumps. (87 & 91 octane)

Getting tired of doing the loop around thru Discovery Bay. So maybe I will try to go 1/4 of the way at a time, Have a pretty good range on fuel at lower speeds. Going to see if any of those slough names are on any of my maps..... A 7 now I'm sweating b-b's

John, One of my first times out we got separated from the group. Had a map, but it was like it was hand drawn by a 4 year old. Here is what I do.

Go into the map on your phone and search your destination, for example Whimpy's or Orwood (not driving directions just search for it so it shows up as a pin on the map). The I just look at my GPS location on the map and figure out my path and go. I check my position on the map frequently. The directions in my head will be something like this: Turn right on the third slough, turn left on the 5th slough...so on and so forth. Your phone GPS is very accurate and if you zoom in enough, it will show you not only which body of water you are on, but also which side of the channel.

    Default lost

I've never been lost, but I have taken the scenic route a few times.

There are some really tall radio towers near Wimpies. look for those as a guide.

The route between Tower Park and Wimpies is one of my favorite runs.

Short trips out and back to familiar territory works well. Get a good map (waterproof) learn to recognize where you are.
GPS's are fairly reasonable. There are navigation apps for phones. Good Luck.
